Welcome New Member Applicants
Sonya & David Bennett
Let’s give a hearty welcome to Sonya & David Bennett! They happen to be Cecile Schwedes' daughter and son-in-law. This couple moved to Kingston in 1982 and have lived in the area since then. Sonya is a massage therapist on Bainbridge Island, and David is a business consultant. These active folks enjoy paddleboarding, kayaking, backpacking, biking, mountain biking, fishing, cooking, and home brewing. They are also involved with the Boy Scouts of America. Although they do not currently own a boat, they do have some sailing experience and often go out with friends and family on their boats.
Sonya and David are eager to plan some Friday night socials and parties, help in setting up or cleaning up before and after meetings, and publishing the monthly newsletter.
Fear not, there will still be a January Bosun's Pipe. We just couldn't publish our regular edition in time to give the membership the required ten days to comment on the applicants before the Board review of their application.
