December Commodore's Corner

2018/2019 was a great year for the club. We have celebrated our 50th year, established prudent financial contingencies, and reworked our dues structure. During this entire time we had a very successful social and cruising calendar of events. Thanks to all who made this a remarkable year.

With this foundation of success, the new Board of Trustees and the Volunteers that support the club for the 2019/2020 year are working toward a very exciting and fun year for you. In support of this, the Board is required to submit a three year plan and annual budget at our January General Meeting. This will be a great opportunity for you to see and engage in the focus of the club.

The committee structure of the club supports every aspect of the club. For 2019 /2020 the structure is pictured below.

Commodore – Ken Dalgleish
Vice Commodore – Art Hammon
Rear Commodore – Jerry Andrews
Fleet Captain – Sandi Dalgleish

To be successful, we always need your participation for the committees, Friday night socials, and the major events. Please let the various committee leads know if you would like to help. I am sure they will be “reaching out to you”!
In addition to your participation, there are still Key Volunteer positions that need to be filled. They are:
Volunteer Coordinator – contact Ken Dalgleish
Charity Coordinator – contact Nancy Langwith
Bartenders & Bar Advisory Committee – Contact Jerry Andrews

While we do not have a General Meeting in December, there is plenty to be involved in. The KCYC tree decorating and cookie exchange, Kingston Cove Christmas, KCYC traditional gift exchange, d Vine wines sing-a-long, and a fabulous New Years Eve event to name a few. Details are available on our website, KCYC.org.

I hope the season brings you special moments with your family and friends, memories that warm your heart, and blessings beyond your dreams.
