Kingston Opening Day Boat Parade

Ahoy KCYC Mateys!
Dress up your boat and gather in the Cove by 11:15 this Saturday, May 9th to parade to Jefferson Beach to salute our Commodore and wave to our club members who plan to observe from the beach. After parading past Jefferson Point, continue on to Liberty Bay to drop you anchor and hang out a while or return to your home port slip as is your preference. Additional detailed directions about the logistics will be sent to those who register.

Ahoy, All KCYC Landlubbers! (AKA non-boaters)
Observation of the boats is available at Jefferson Beach at approximately noon! Bring a camp chair, snacks & beverages if you wish and make sure you pack out whatever you packed in. Those of us watching the boats go by will observe social distancing, proper beachfront etiquette, & cheer like fools. Important Note: in all cases (boaters and non-boaters) we must be sure to follow the current COVID-19 safety guidelines, practicing social distancing. For boaters, this means keeping the onboard group to household family members (no guests). For non-boaters, maintain the required distance while at the point.

Directions to Jefferson Beach: Follow West Kingston Rd. out of town and take a left at South Kingston Rd. Take another left at Jefferson Beach Rd. and follow until it comes to a T at Klabo Road. Take a left onto Kalbo which becomes Jefferson Beach Road. Follow that to the end and straight ahead through the gate and down the hill to beach parking. Come down to the beach to the right of the parking lot as you face to water.
