Hi KCYC Members,
The Daffodil Festival Weekend at Tacoma Yacht Club is almost here, and we are excited to share that KCYC will be well represented — even if our boat count is small this year. We have 2 boats, 4 RVs, and 2+ carloads of members coming, for a total of 15–16 enthusiastic KCYC participants. It’s going to be a fantastic weekend, and we’d love to have even more of you join the fun.
This event is one of the most joyful, high‑energy traditions in the region—costumes, trivia contests, decorated boats, live music, and nonstop laughter. Whether you come for the day or stay for the weekend, you’ll have a great time.
🌟 Come Cheer On Our Trivia Team!
If you can only join us for one thing, make it Saturday’s Trivia Competition. It’s a blast to watch, and your cheers make a huge difference. Here’s what Saturday looks like:
- Lunch at the Tacoma Yacht Club Restaurant
Enjoy a delicious meal with a gorgeous waterfront view.
- 1:30 PM – Trivia Token Parade
All teams parade into the club in full costume. It’s hilarious, spirited, and worth the trip all by itself.
- 2:00–4:00 PM – Trivia Competition
Come support our KCYC team as they battle it out for bragging rights.
- 5:30–8:00 PM – Dinner Buffet
A great meal followed by…
- Live Music & Dancing
Featuring country/western band Nic Crane — always a crowd favorite

If Saturday doesn’t work for you, you can still join the fun by coming to watch the boat parade and see our beautifully decorated KCYC boat. This year’s theme is “Bloom Where the World Takes You”, and we are very excited about our design. That's our boat at the top of this email!
💛 We’d Love to See More KCYC Faces
Even if you’re not cruising or RV‑ing, this is an easy, fun day trip. Come for lunch, cheer on the team, enjoy the parade, dance the night away — or all of the above. Your presence makes the weekend more special for everyone. Let’s show Tacoma Yacht Club how much spirit KCYC brings wherever we go.
