Please join us on Thursday, January 15th at 1800 hours for the KCYC General Meeting. We can socialize with members and the General Meeting will begin at 1900 hours.
The meeting is a potluck and to ensure a diverse food selection we are suggesting the following contributions for this Thursday.
MAIN COURSES
Last Names: A through F
Suggested Dishes:
- Baked pasta dishes (lasagna, baked ziti, manicotti) or casseroles
- Slow-cooked meats (pulled pork, brisket, BBQ chicken) or grilled proteins
- Chili, stews, or curry dishes (beef, turkey, chicken, or vegetarian)
- Enchiladas, tamales, or stuffed shells
Important: Include serving utensils. Keep hot dishes hot using slow cooker or warming tray. Label
common allergens.
SALADS & SIDES
Last Names: G through early S
Suggested Dishes:
- Fresh green salads (Caesar, mixed greens, spinach with berries, Greek salad)
- Hearty salads (pasta, potato, quinoa, or grain-based salads)
- Coleslaw or fresh fruit salad
- Side dishes (roasted vegetables, rice pilaf, baked beans, corn salad)
- Garlic bread or breadsticks
Important: Keep cold dishes cold. Bring dressings on the side when possible. Include serving spoons.
APPETIZERS
Last Names: Mid S through early R
Suggested Dishes:
- Dips with chips or crackers (spinach artichoke, hummus, guacamole, salsa, cheese
ball)
- Finger foods (meatballs, stuffed mushrooms, bruschetta, bacon-wrapped items)
- Platters (cheese & charcuterie, vegetable crudité, shrimp cocktail, antipasto)
- Wings, sliders, or deviled eggs
Important: Provide toothpicks or small plates. Keep hot appetizers warm. Label allergens. Must be
easy to eat standing up.
DESSERTS
Last Names: Late S through Z
Suggested Dishes:
- Cakes or cupcakes (sheet cake, bundt cake, carrot cake, cheesecake)
- Cookies or bars (brownies, cookie bars, assorted cookies, blondies)
- Pies or tarts (fruit pies, cream pies, pecan or pumpkin pie)
- Other treats (fruit desserts, trifles, tiramisu, banana pudding
Important: Pre-slice when possible. Include serving utensils. Label allergens. Store-bought desserts
welcome!
Households with two members should bring ONE dish.
