ACTIVITIES:
Your Cruise Captain, Cecile Schwedes, and our Fleet Captain, Paul Barrett, recently visited Port Orchard to scout the marina, town, facilities, and all the local goodies. Friends… we are in for a treat.
Everything — and we mean everything — is within 1,500 feet of our assigned dock and event tent. Taprooms, restaurants, bakeries, coffee shops, ice cream, antiques, boutiques, books, vinyl, toys, home décor… all packed into two walkable blocks with the marina right in the middle. It’s a cruiser’s dream: maximum fun, minimum steps.
??? Our Own Little Village on the Dock
We’ve reserved the marina’s Event Tent, complete with:
- Two barbecues
- Two propane patio heaters
- Plenty of tables
- A large adjacent covered area with additional picnic benches
All of this sits at the end of the dock, surrounded by our boats — a cozy little “wagon-wheel village” just for KCYC. It’s one of the best setups we’ve ever had on a cruise.
